Hi-ho Joy here! My birthday month came and went and it feels like my New Years’ Day. New beginnings!
I’m coming out of a very busy month, been moving a bit like a turtle this week as I do some things like sneaking in more outside walks, catching up on emails and print shop updates - more on that in a minute! I’m about to jump into another busy season of work, but not without pausing to reflect on my last year and what areas I’d like to grow and expand into. Reflecting on my life makes me feel a little like Kermit singing about the Rainbow Connection.
Since my accidental stumble into boredom and realizing it’s importance, it’s been a real challenge not to fill up the empty spaces with more work. I like to be busy. But I also love Autumn, and I don’t want to miss a moment. It also inspires me immensely since I’m always in search of magic and color - both of which are plentiful at this time of year.

My biggest goal for these last few and favorite months of the year is to create some healthy structure - that allows for spaces and places where there is no structure.. so I can make more non-project art - including more bad art, which leads to good art, which also leads to great art.
Puzzle News
A few puzzles are out this quarter, including another fun gold foil puzzle called Sparkling City available wherever Galison puzzles are sold, including many local bookstores and your closest Barnes & Noble. Look, I found it in mine!
And, some sketches for puzzles coming soon! You can also check out Galison.com and their social media for some fun interview bits we did for the month of October!

Print Shop News
Last but not least - the print shop is open! Cue the fireworks! After a several day-long trip on the struggle bus to get things up and moving, the shop is officially back up, and will be updated with new artwork quarterly. PHEW!
Some new things! I’ve added smaller sizes available for each piece, 4x4” and 3.5x5” - super cute, perfect for small spaces that need a little color. Absolutely adorable and giftable. I also still ship internationally! International shipping is set to non-US and non-Canadian locations for a flat fee. It will take a couple of weeks to get to you, but I will get it there, even if I have to send a carrier pigeon. You can also take a look at my shop info page for updated information shipping, carriers, timelines, etc.
I’ve also be added some print sets to the shop, prints I think look perfect together - which you can purchase at a discount from buying them individually.

Stay well, enjoy October, and watch out for the Great Pumpkin!
